The 8/18 model was first introduced in 1923 and has a four-cylinder i.o.e engine of 985 cc and a three-speed gearbox. The gear change lever and handbrake are situated on the right of the driver and the car has a central throttle/accelerator pedal. It has transmission and rear-wheel brakes with external contracting bands. The beaded-edge wheels are fitted with 700 x 80 tyres. This is an original car in most respects and it drives very nicely. The body has a single door on the near-side and is lavishly equipped with deep-buttoned brown leather upholstery. Externally finished in Humber mole with black wings, there is a full set of wet weather equipment. The Humber 8/18 is a delightful light car, very easy to drive and with light steering. It is well catered for by the enthusiastic Humber Register. This car has charm and character and will reward a sympathetic and caring owner.
